If the wind really bothers you, I would recommend getting a different wind screen, it can make a big difference over the stock one

This is why I love the EX500 windshield
I'm shorter at 5'7"
before the wind would hit my smack dab in the face while sitting upright or even crouched over a bit.
now with the lower windscreen the wind hits me in the chest and no more head /helmet shake

I'm laying on the tank going down the interstate, but my jacket zipper can get uncomfortable after a while. I need some padding up there.

The hardest part is getting a comfortable position for my right wrist.

im 6'6 so at 84 mph plus my head starts to shake sometimes then its down on the tank ...would like a cool taller windscreen ....im up on the tank or just back enjoying the ride

Depends on what I'm doing. If I'm on a long interstate ride, as bad as it sounds, I have my feet on the passenger pegs, left arm tucked under me between the tank, and right hand doing the poor mans cruise control on the throttle. I'm just glad I've never had a situation come up where I had to make a sudden move because I'd be screwed royally.

I really gotta find a better position....

get the trottle mister cruise control it will allow you to relax your wrist.
