I need some help. Somehow i managed to lock my only key under my seat (I wish i had a spare). Is there anyway I can get underneath my seat and get my key? I really dont want to call a locksmith and pay 70 bucks for him to unlock it. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Meanwhile, this should be a HUGE lesson learned -- ALWAYS have spare keys at home and/or with the wife/gf. Any bike with a single key is F'd if you lose that single key somewhere.

Some locksmiths will carry the right blank, some won't (suggest you call ahead).
You can also order blanks through your dealer, or via the web, and have them cut at any locksmith's or most dealerships...

They're like $22 - $25 at the dealer. Not all dealers can cut em, so you might have to also visit a locksmith. I found my extra key on eshamy for $6.00. I was able to get it cut at the hardware store. This "Phat Chick" rides her own!!!
BTW, I think they may have been correct. It does appear that BLACK is indeed the FASTEST color. R.O.R...R.I.P.M

any Zuki dealer should have them, and be able to cut new keys.
as a note, i keep a spare house and bike key in the inside riding jacket pocket.
since i'm never not wearing the jacket when I'll be riding, I always have spares.
good luck with it.

I had a disk lock that caused an obstruction to the actual lever mechanism to the seat latch, it wasn't from loosing my key. What I did was carefully bend the seat in the middle enough for the front lip to clear the gas tank brace. This was in the summertime so a warm seat pan may have made a difference.
Regarding the key, I just went to a real locksmith and he was able to make some spare keys for me.
