  • Wish Me Luck (Updated)

Well on June 22 I was playing softball while sliding into second base my left leg got pinned behind me and I landed totally wrong.... I heard a pop and pain shot up my thigh area instantly.... I knew I had hurt myself real good so I hobbled off the field..... Yes I was safe and needed a pinch runner.....So off to the ER hospital I go.... The doctors says I had torn my quad muscle and refered me to a specialist.... Well I am going into surgery this morning....The quad was torn completely off my knee cap and know has to be reattached..... My riding this year is over....

Well, the important thing here is that you were safe. . I've snaped my ankle before, sliding into 3rd, so i kinda know the pain your going through. I was out on my play though, so my effort was a waste .

Good luck with the surgery though, I wish you a speedy recovery.

Good luck... I played little league baseball and the worse injury I had was a 'hyperextended' wrist. I bent it back WAY too far while I slid into second (I was safe of course ) I played the rest of the game in all kinds of pain, but nailed a guy from left field who was sliding into 3rd.

                  Man I miss baseball...

Sorry to hear that, hope you have a speedy recovery. In addition to not riding, sounds like you're probably going to have the rest of the summer off from work, too.

Why stop riding? Just get one of those hand-shifters! It'd be cool.... trust me! But seriously, good luck with everything. I know the hospital isn't much fun, but hey, they might give you good drugs! Stay up.
