In my humble opinion, the worse mistakes one can make are the ones that he/she is aware that the mistake is going to happen, yet one still makes that mistake. Case in point!
This past weekend was a perfect riding weeknd here on the Gulf Coast. Saturday I pulled the Intruder out and rode to the Gulf Shores for the Shrimp Festival. Great day to enjoy some food, adult beverages and bikini clad ladies. Sunday I decide to take the Kat for a ride in the country. But first....let's lube the chain. I put the Kat on the centerstand and commenced to lubing. When I went to drop the Kat off the centerstand this is where my weekend went in the crapper. I have riden bikes all my life and I knew better. I never, never, never drop the bike off the centerstand unless I'm sitting on it. Well after telling myself how dumb this is....I push the Kat forward while standing on the left side. As the bike lunged forward, and the bars turned left toward me (of course....duhhh) and the bike started falling away from me, I suddenly found myself in a tug-o-war between my 5'-8" 160lb frame and the Kats 480lb+/- pound frame. Well........the Kat won the match! It was all I could do to slow the fall but it did fall right in to my ATK front end. That's what did the damage. Freakin' idiot!!!! I'm chalking this up to the stupid crap I have done in my life. I knew better.
