Here is the story. I got this 94 for next to nothing.... But I have to get it back running. It was running about 2 to 3 weeks ago great from what I was told. Good friend so I trust what he says.. It has not been on the road in about 3 to 4 years as the friend does not have his motorcycle license. The person I got it from basically road it around on some side streets and idled it for a while from time to time. The bike is not in perfect shape but I figured a project for me.

Whats happening now. The bike will crank over and once in a while sputter like its going to fire, but does not fully kick over. This is when the fuel petcock is set to prim. If I flip it to res or on it usually sputters once or twice and thats it. I am wonder if its does not have enough gas in the tank to fill the carbs? I can see gas in the tank but is that enough? Also the lines to the petcock had come off so we re attached them but I am not 100% sure he got them right.

Also the oil light stays on almost all the time is that normal?

Thanks first bike I am use to fixing sleds not bikes.
