  • What does Harley need to do to get YOU to buy one?

Since the majority of us here on KR are sportbikes enthusiasts in general...and even though some of us HATE harleys and some of us like them, and the rest could take them or leave them.

What would it take for you to buy one?

    About $40,000 dollars

Make that $28,000 Custom Dyna Wide Glide under $10,000, or at least less than a R1 or a Gixer. Well, if I am dreaming, I might as well make it as cheap as my Kats cost me.

It would take a miracle for me to buy one.
I don't know how fast my bike goes, I've never stopped to find out.

          I'm with GSX1100.

I would be quicker to say yes if they designed/built better.

if they made the Vrod or the Street Rod cost 10,500.00 I would think about it. Those are some pretty good cruisers, but at 16-18K way overpriced.

It would take, me getting up in the morning to find that the Harley fairey poped by last night and left me a little present in the driveway.

I don't have anything against them. And maybe someday i will own one, or maybe another cruiser. But right not i'm into sport bikes. And no the buell doesn't appeal to me

Lower prices. I would like to have one for long cruising rides. Unfortunately there is no way I would be able to afford one.

Plus a fat wallet, plus a fat ass..
Everytime I get real close to a HD I think:
                          25K+ for what now??

I think the Sportster engine is very nice.
I considered a Buell this time around.
But I thought I wouldn't ride it enough
to justify the price.. (4K-5K vs. 2K)
And the Blast looked too striped down.
If I were to buy another bike after the Kat I would consider a Buell again.
(Used) But that is as close to HD as I would get..

If we ever reach the point where we can't openly discuss riding bikes on acid without even a modicum of civility, then the terrorists have won.

As long as they can still not keep up w/ demand by charging these outrageous prices, its only gonna get worse.
