they do make gel grips. just check with your local stealership. i think if you look in the memberstore section of this site you'll find a post from 2wheeltours about new grips they have as well. spider grips or something like that?

I have gel grips, got them from speedwerks. Easy to install, very inexpensive, and I wouldnt trade them at all. Definately a nice difference.

Gel Grips, throttle lock and good gloves are what I suggest, you can't go wrong with a throttle lock/cruise control. The Vista control I think is the one that works well on the Kat.

http://www.olympiagloves.com/performance_gel_series.htm for good gel-palmed gloves. The gel layer in the perforated leather (#402) is about 1.5 to 2 times as thick as the gel in any other glove I've ever tried. Caution: these gloves leak dye the first few times they get sweated into or rained on.

You can get cheap foam grips. These won't last long, but foam does a better job of supressing vibration than gel.

Having your tires balanced, and adding more weight into the bar extensions (and/or using heavier bar-end weights) will also help reduce vibration at the handle bars.

                Cheers
