very interesting, I didn't even realize the busa was the fastest bike on the market, I really believe the GSX-R 1000 can give it a run of its money.

a gsxr 1000 w/ the proper rider can give a busa a run for its money any day. and light to light or quick runs, I'll take the gixxer..lighter, more nimble and quicker.

at the track last year a guy turned 3 9.89's back to back to back !!! but i like the kawi more just cuz is unique a nd not the "trend"

This was all major news when the 12R came out and no one could figure out why it was slower than the Busa.

Part was the manufacturer enforced speed limit of 189mph, and also the 12 R does not have the aero package the Busa does.

There is a reason the Busa's nose looks like that.

And friends, in the speed game the Busa will remain king.
1. The manufacturers agreed to end the top end game. Evertything does 189 max now, and once you modify a bike it is modified.
2. There is no replacement for displacement. The extra 300 cc's give the Busa an edge in torque.
3. Go to the salt flats, no one is trying for 250mph on a Gix1K, they are on Busa's.
