  • spring is here, how did you prepare during the winter?

Now that spring is upon us, how about sharing what you did during the winter months to build up for the riding season? What mods or purchases have you made, if any?

Here is my list of things I bought:

    V&H race engine (around 200hp)
Yosh exhaust system (through waltari's deal)
Baldor buffer/grinder for polishing, plus wheels and compounds
Spare wheels, 1 swingarm and all plastics for my kat
Airbrush and stencils for graphics, plus collecting left over paint from bodyshops to do my graphics with.
Parts to build an oven big enough to bake a frame for powdercoating.
A grinder and 2 die grinders and an electric drill for polishing.
    Another Corbin seat
Plus a pile of other little things that Ebay was good enough to provide me with.

Here is a list of what I have done:

NOTHING YET! Time and money was not the issue. Workspace was. Looking into a place now that will fit my needs. Could have had it this winter, but it is not warm enough for working in the winter. It will be fine for this summer until I can "winterize" it. Can't wait...going to have a pretty well equipped shop when it is done...woohoo.

Man, it feels good to have some warmer weather. I want to go on record as saying, WINTER SUX!
I don't have a short temper. I just have a quick reaction to bullshit.

Aftermarket rims or oem? If they were aftermarket, what kind and where? I was thinking about a set but the only ones I found were really quite expensive, so I opted to buy tools instead.

I went with OEM cause my rear (chrome) one was worn out where the bearings seat. I wish I could afford some good PM's though

4 sets in 6 months. It's funny though, the center is almost new while the sides are gone. Same thing happens to BearKats tires. Hmmmmm

As it stands now, you are going to have to settle for red. That is the color I painted it. But I do have another body set I am working on. I am tossing around the idea of jet balck with ice blue flames. The bike will probably have 1/2 dozen different looks this summer because I will be steady swapping the body to practice different things.

as far as tires are concerned, I know myself. With that kind of hp and the desire to show it off, I will probably go through one a week for a while....until I realize how much it will cost me. I really gotta find someone who will make me a deal on say 10 rears to start...hehe.

You have now been upgraded from cool to super-cool in my book (Go Pre-98 Reds!)

I bought a chain for the extra parts box , a gixxer shock (that I hear will probably need rebuilt) , NRC engine covers and gaskets (finally warm enough out to put them on) , and a couple other things I can't remember , I'm sure . HAD lots of plans , but never got anything done . I need a garage .
I am a fluffy lil cuddly lovable bunny , dammit !
