  • New Bike opinions...

So I've been thinking lately about getting a new bike, and if I can't find anything used that I like for a good price, the realm of new bikes isn't really out of the question. Does anybody have an opinion on the new sv1000s, or the gix750? Just trying to hear good or bad things.

    thanks
if its got 2 wheels or a skirt....i'll ride it.

Both are good bikes, but way different in focus.

The GSXR750 is a very powerful, nimble, tucked-in racer. I rode a GSXR1k last night and although I loved the power, the first impressions were "there is no way my neck could take this position for any length of time".

The SV1000 is a two-cylinder V-twin with a more up-right seating position, loads of grunt, but isn't the prettiest thing out there -- and it's quite tall.

My advice: if these are the two bikes that interest you, go find somewhere you can test ride them and decide for yourself. Neither bike is the right bike for my tastes, although I could see having a GSXR750 as a second bike just for fun...

    Cheers

I really do love the look of the SV with full fairings. And the new ones come in all black including the frame!!!

              Looks sweet to me!

I have allways wanted to try a sv 1000. Not as fast as a 750 gixer, but seems like a nice mix of power and easy ride.
