I just bought a 1996 Katana 600. Where is the storage on this bike? Under the seat? how do i get to it?

Should be a key hole somewhere under the seat or tail, I am not sure of where it would be on a 96, but on my 2000 it is on the left side under the grab handle by the tail light.

yeah, kats have a fair amount of storage space under the seat, compared to most other bikes

Unfortunately, the battery and tool puch also resides under the seat. Not a whole bunch of room but there is a place under the back seat, accessed from the front seat area, for your registration, insurance, other papers. Put them in a dry zip lock bag because it doesn't stay dry under there...look right behind the front seat lock reciever
