  • Just sold my first bike

SO i just sold my first bike it was a 1982 Yamaha Vision 550. it was a nice bike, i had some good times on it. I got 500 bucks for it. I now have 500 bucks and a lot more room in the garage for my kat. I would like to say that it won't be missed, but who doesn't miss their first bike? you just have a certain bond with it. you know, both you and bike have road rash from the same accidents, you get to know how exactly to start it, you just know it inside out. ahh....oh well. i have a better bike now so i'm happy. no regrets
if its got 2 wheels or a skirt....i'll ride it.

I remember when I sold my first GirlFriend. i got about $10.27 for her. We had good times, and yeah, she rode nice, but she made a lot of noise, and it was getting time to trade her in on a new model.

it was that big puncture that brought "her" price down.

Now...back on course....I have a back issue of Cycle World from last year....the American Flyers series. A guy took a clapped out 550 vision and buit a cool streetfighter for next to nothing. Painted it Olive-drab, big US Army Star insignia on the tank.

REALLY cool, I still remember the angular tank when they first came out!

man, let me tell ya, as soon as i pay off the kat, i'm game for another bike. i have the disease, MBS (multi bike syndrome). i just can't feed the addiction at the current time being in school and all.

Like wise, this is the first time that I am a one bike man. Even though I know others that have had more at one time. I don't consider it a disease, I am going for the man with the most toys wins deal and I am far from being there yet. I will always work on it though.

Yeah , it's hard when the kids leave home . I still miss my first bike sometimes , even though it wasn't much to miss . An '86 Shadow 500 . Some guy bought it for his wife 's first bike . I had the leather grips with long tassles , sheepskin seat cover , windshield with a big dragon sticker on it , and cool saddlebags . Sold it for more than I bought it for though , which was nice .
I am a fluffy lil cuddly lovable bunny , dammit !
