You'll want to have a unmodified head if you plan on giving it to someone.
Id recommend 30mm intakes and a very mild port job. If you are looking to keep steet reliability pick up a set of oem 89 BST38SS carbs to hit that top end hp.
Are you still running the stock ignition system?Tekgnomes Crazy Custom Fighter

Maybe call Holeshot and talk to their engine builders? They've got tons of oil cooled Suzuki expedience.Last edited by shpielers; 12-31-2015, 02:58 AM.1998 Katana 750

Well there ya go, you learn something new every day. I wonder if a 89 gsxr 1100 have the same profile.
Well I guess the OP should look in to a set of these web cams
Now your looking at possibly
getting hard weld rockers and a oil fed top end oiler kit.Last edited by Tekgnome; 12-31-2015, 03:51 AM.Tekgnomes Crazy Custom Fighter

# should be on the webpage, holeshot.com. I know there's times when you can talk to Dale Walker personally, but even the regular joes there should be able to point you on the right direction.1998 Katana 750

If your going for street drag performance picture this.
12:1 compression ratio
.400/.400 web cams
Top end oil fed oiler
Hard weld rockers
Performance valve springs
A mild street polish
30mm or 31mm intake valves.
Bst38ss carbs
Im NOT a professional, im just passing on what ive been told on the bandit/KR fourm.Tekgnomes Crazy Custom Fighter

Also this is what I have gathered about a b12 head. It may be a little diff rent but it should still be relevant.
Bandit head has 28.5mm intakes and 25mm exhausts.
When replacing the valves and going larger 30mm in and 26mm ex is largest with out having to cut larger seats.
Aprox-based on NON verified data.
stock 28.5 mm valve unported............95 cfm
stock 28.5 mm valve ported...............115 cfm
30 mm valve ported..........................125 cfm
31 mm valve with bigger seat ported...135 cfm
The stock head will not need anything more than a mild street port unless you are aiming over 125cfm.
arp2000 busa 10mm studs should fit your block and will provide the best strength and have a proper tapered neck for better oil flow.Last edited by Tekgnome; 01-04-2016, 05:23 PM.Tekgnomes Crazy Custom Fighter
