Does anyone know the difference between the BS34 carburetors for the GSXR 1100 ('86 and '87?) and the BS34 carburetors for a '88-'93 GSX1100F? Will the carburetors from the '86 GSXR 1100 work on the '88-'93 GSX1100F? Any modifications needed. The specifications I have seen for both bikes indicate they use Mikuni BST34SS carburetors. Thanks in advance.

If you look in the wiki there's a page that has detailed info on the carbs, jet sizes, emulsion tube sizes etc. It has all you need to know about the big Kat. Doesn't have anything about the GSXR but it's half the info you need at least.

The carb model # applies to the carb bodies only. That leaves jetting, needles and spacing on the rails. I suspect the spacing will be the same but it's definitely something to watch for.

Right. If look at the rest of the bike: exhaust, gearing and intended riding style, they have to be tuned very different.
