  • 88-1100 GSXF Surging

Just wanted to give you an update on the surging problem I had around 3-4K RPM range. Lowered the clip on the slide needles one notch, helped a bit. Maybe I'll try the jet kit this winter.

    Thanks for the input.

Still thinking about ordering a Corbin seat, is it really worth the $400?

If you have multiple clip settings, you already have a jet kit

Not necessarily. I believe 88-89 Kats had 4 needle positions, or at least the 600's and 750's did. THey also used different carbs than the 90-97 Kats.

I love my Corbin but no, I wouldn't pay $400 for one. Look for a nice used one or get a stock seat redone. If you need an extra seat to send off so you don't have to give yours up let me know. I've got three of them.

Thanks guys, from what I could tell the carbs were untouched.

I'll keep looking for that elusive used Corbin. Your right, I too have a hard time parting with $400 for a new one.
