Hi - i have a problem with the electrics on my UK 1991 1100F.
Last night when driving home, all of a sudden the following issues appeared (all at the same time).

    1. Rev counter stopped working
    2. Meter lights dimmed to about half normal and digital clock backlight went off
    3. Main beam light came on (with headlight dipped) and goes off when i go onto main beam!
    4. Indicator lights permanently on (indicators work normally)
    5. Think (not sure) that fuel guage has stopped working.

All lights are still working as normal and bike is still running fine.

Has anyone any idea why these would happen. I thought maybe the battery was too cold (air temp was -5 C) but other than that i am clueless.

Many thanks for any help you can give me.

Best wishes for 2010 - Ian

Hi - thanks for replying. I was hoping it was something simple but will strip fairing off and have a look. What i did notice was that rev counter, fuel guage etc. work fine when lights are switched off but stop working the instant i switch lights on. Wil check earths tomorrow or thursday or may just put into a workshop as my electrical knowledge is pretty much less than zero.
Will let you know what i find. Many thanks - ian
