Surpisingly, the manual says 6000km, or 12 months.

    Jeebus, that's not very long!
    93 1100....big kitty!

Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it...

That's just about every oil change ..... WoW

I just hit 20000 and the valves were done at about 13000. I've not put any abusive miles on her, 95% highway. I'm not getting excessive noise or any noticable slips in performance. If the valves were out of whack, what things should I be listening/feeling/looking for ?

at 15k mine started to tick a bit when cold. which went away when it got hot.then at 17k they started doing it hot.so i adjusted the valves,i found three that were loose, and only by a little.funny but two were tight by a couple thousand.guess that would be valve seat recession.after it was done it ran a bit smoother too
WOW! your bikes really fast! you were flying when i passed you!

I dont know for an 1100 but a 600 says every 7500... id say realistically your looking more into the 10-12000 range. Just do it when your bike starts to run like crap. It wont hurt it at all if they are a bit out of tune. I think 6000 is outrageous.

So you'd TRIPLE the interval? 4000 miles to 12K?

What is this based on, exactly, other than a spec for a different bike?
