yeah, thats definately a big one! and another one..

It's too hot or too much work to wear gear, I'm just riding down to the store, or out for alittle ride, it'll be ok THIS time.

Yup, that's gotta be #1. And it's all too easy on bikes
where a 1/4 turn on the throttle sends you into warp speed.
You can read all the books ever printed on the subject, but you
still have to hone your skills. Like anything else, riding skills take
              time and practice, practice, practice.

or not realizing that it takes longer to slow down than i does to speed up -
due to the lack of practice of hard braking.

Braking in a corner. I still roll off the throttle when I get panicked when cornering which is also wrong.

Wearing Boxers and not something that will hold "The Boys" up close so when you hit a bump going down the highway, they don't smack the tank

                      It does NOT feel good!

Alway lay on the throttle in a corner. It will push you throught it. I was told once before that you will never be able to out ride your bike. they have been tested to do this very thing. yes some ppl panick when coming into these corners and let off the throttle, and that could turn into something bad doing so. Pratice on the corners slowly and give her more throttle. You will get pulled throught and you'll love it.

I'm with Babs on this one. A newbie goes into a corner too hot and brakes, which stands the bike up and drives right off the road.
