Custom seat....hmmm....Maybe you could try and put a dip in the seat where your "friends" sit? I guess you could look to ordinary bicycle seats for some inspiration here. They make them with a "stress relief" hole in them to relieve the guys. When I first started mountain biking I rode on regular seats and could barely walk after an hour, but I switched to a seat with a hole in it and things were suddenly so much better. Food for thought I guess.

Ok , maybe just a little .... Briefs to keep the boys from wanderin . Nothing more distracting than sitting on your boys setting up for a corner .
Sit back a tad . You ain't 'posed to be right ON the tank , but a couple inches back from it .

I kept re-reading this thread out of shear entertainment. Its pretty funny. The kat isn't as bad on the boys as some of the SS bikes. I thought it was rough riding the kat, but I switched to the SV and it was tons worse. As someone mentioned before, body position is the secret. Ride for 15 mins, then check this:
Balls of feet on pegs.
Knees applying pressure to the tank.
Arms loose
Shoulder relaxed
If those four things are right, you wont be on the tank, and the bike will also seem as if it corners better. I have one of those 1'' thick "plate" seats on the SV that you see in GSXR's and such, so if im being sloppy in body positioning, then "my boys" and the bikes handling pay for it.Currently Riding:
