Congrats on the ride! I started riding at age 8 and had the same feeling. 25 years later, on my first street bike, the feeling has not gone away. Remember to take it slow and ride within your limits and you'll keep doing great. This Sunday, try going out for a short ride at daybreak. Traffic will be lighter, and you may not wanna come home! 8)

+1 to Batgirl. It's that feeling of freedom that is sooooooo addicting!

Congrats Char! Get out there and practice. The great thing about motorcycling is that the better you get the better it gets.

I've been riding for only 3 years so this may not mean as much as the other guys, but the best days of work for me are the ones that I ride in on, something about the ride in and the feeling after it puts me in a good mood until lunch, then the thought of riding home takes me to the end of the day, there are even different routs depending on time available... longer is always better A small newbie tip and one thing that I still do on certain rides is practice emergency stopping, it's always good to know how to stop!
93' 750, I just washed the bugs off, let's go for a ride!

Cool huh! hang on to that feeling. Every time I take a corner that felt just right or was the fastest thing on two wheels on that trip I just reflect on the trip with heart pumping in chest. Oh yes the next ride! The important thing is not to let excitement overide good judgment and safe riding practices.
