  • safety at the pump

I just got back home from fueling up the cage. I made an interesting observation. I don't know if anyone has posted this before and if so you have my apologies. I noticed that the fuel station i go to frequently has a lot of diesel pumps. I also noticed how much kitty litter and deisel fuel is always on the ground there. As you know deisel fuel is like oil on the ground it gets very slick not to mention kitty litter. I just wanted to pass this on so that you all are aware especially if your traveling and the gas station is new to you etc.

I can confirm since I drive a Diesel F350 that it's very slick near diesel pumps. Mostly from the detergent added which doesn't allow for it to evaporate like gas. I love my diesel truck but it can be messy if you're not careful. The shut offs tend to not shut off in time leading to the spills.

I fill my bike up near gasoline only and that can be slick as well.

I can say I learned my lesson a long time ago with my first kat. I came in a bit fast and well you can imagine what happened. Busted a break lever and had to ride home with just the rear break. THAT SUCKED!

                              KCCO!!!
Why does Sea World have a seafood restaurant? I was sitting there eating and thought...OMG I could be eating one of the slow learners!"
