any veteran rider who knows anything about riding and what motorcycling means is never going to chastise, look down upon, or otherwise ridicule a newbie rider for taking it slow. Or for that matter, maybe a regular motorcyclist who's just on a new ride and not used to it yet.
so Why do newbs especially, when starting out riding, feel the need to keep up the veteran riders, be it on the straights or the twisties? Is it the fear of being intimidated by the more experienced riders so they feel the need to try and keep up so they look better? or is it just the challenge of trying to ride harder and get better too quickly?
