  • Road Surface- Asphalt, concrete, other...

I just moved to DFW from Phoenix. Phoenix is mostly asphalt, rubberized aspahlt and some concrete. I never had the feeling of sliding on the road unless it was something I did. But DFW is mostly concrete with some aspahlt. Since I've been riding in DFW I've noticed the concrete surface is very slick. It feels like the tires are slipping during turns. ( I don't mean from RPM's or slide. But both front and rear tires drifting at the same time.) My feet even slide out at stops. Are there different priciples or riding techniques for different surfaces?

A lot of the main roads and interstate in the DFW area are less than 10 years old. I don't know if that has anything to do with it.....guessing/making shite up??

Yeah , if it's more slippery , go slower . Really , no sudden moves (as in quick braking or grabbing a fistful of throttle) , and try not to lean the bike as much .
I am a fluffy lil cuddly lovable bunny , dammit !
