  • Good beginner books...

The complete idiots guide to motorcycles touches on many topics of riding and bike styles. I know one person that has read it, and said it was quite helpful.

Any other books out there a beginner could use. ?

The Motorcycle Book by Alan Seeley . First chapter is about different types of bikes . Second chapter is getting out there . Training gear , insurance , luggage , etc. . 3rd is "know your bike" , and goes into the different parts , and how to find aftermarket accesories . And 4th is about maintenance . It's basically a "how to" book .

That book is really pretty good. I love Leno's quote on the cover.

I know everyone raves about "Twist of the Wrist" but the BEST book I've ever read (and still read) is "Sport Riding Techniques" - by Nick Ienatsch.

        tdrcomm said it.

Both Twist of the Wrist (2 - at this point) & Sport Riding Techniques are a "must read", I'd say. They helped me quite a bit.
