I want to do the integrated tail light mod, do you have a link for the led board you used? And with this mod, can you put the red cover back over it? Or do you leave it exposed. I've been scouring the internet for similar looking tail lights and was considering retrofitting a newer gs500, bandit, or Ducati monster taillight, but haven't seen anyone try to mod one yet.

It's a 60 LED trailer light from eBay, just cut it out of the fixture and wire it in. Secure with windshield adhesive. Like this one http://m.ebay.com/itm/301236086718?nav=SEARCH

Ahh, but that doesn't have the turn signals built in like the r1 LED boards though does it?

No, I modified one to have integrated turn signals for the Katmobile.

Nice project bike. I had a project bike I named the 'Phoenix". Good friend and local artist and biker, did the airbrush work.

The guy that painted it was Marshal Canifax. He died a couple years back from Encephalitis. Got bit by a mosquito carrying it and went into hospital on a Friday with headaches and died on Monday.

Live, ride and love like its your last day.

As much I dislike purple, this might be OK, more on the muted dark side. This was a pain in the ass to match. I got 4 different shades, this is the only one I could take. It matches the graphics pretty good. I'm glad it's only going to be the top of the bike.

I've been thinking about doing something special with the 88' since I got it . I hid my thoughts under a ruse of an auction and charity, sorry if it offended anyone, till this morning. Jim now knows the bike will be given to his son, who is joining the Air Force. I felt it fitting to ride what was once part of the collection they had and it takes some pressure off dad. A little piece of home he can take with him. His name will be applied to the tank with a message from his family. If anybody wants to write a personal note to him let me or Jim know, I will include it in the build binder that will accompany the bike. PS please send any note or letters in your own hand writing, makes it more personal.
