  • First Bike... First Noob Project. How'd I Do?

Its been a while since i have been on but i thought i would post my first projects pictures.
This is my 1996 Kat 600, i picked her up in March [I consider it a 19th Birthday present to myself ] for $650. She was laid down and had been sitting for a while so i knew i had some work ahead of me.
This is what ive done so far:
    1. Replaced main fairings (Thanks to Adam at Kentucky Cycles)
    2. New Left handlebar (same thanks as above)
    3. New front turn signals
    4. New chain
    5. Went through the carbs (Crazy Dirty as expected)
    6. Plastic welded Fairings as needed (Mains Mostly) and Other Body Work, see gas tank B4 and After in Finished Pic
    7. Changed Oil
    8. Wet sanded and Spray Painted
    9. Among other things that i can't think of right now

I posted this because i wanted some input on how i did (with some help from my dad, mostly how-to's) because this is my first and certainly not my last Bike/Kat

Other than the red guard having some white paint on it by the rear brake lever, that looks great! Very good job

Or is that the sun's reflection?

Blue rim stipes, shield, and a Kat kanji would look pretty cool.
sigpicLife throws you curves......enjoy the ones you get when riding.

I was thinking about something like that but i'm still deciding whether i like the color scheme as it is or if i should change it up a little.
That sounds like it would look cool though. Thanks
