  • Very cool pre-98 600

I first saw this bike a few years ago and have been looking for it again ever since. By luck I happened across it last night. It's busy but one of the best looking jobs I've ever seen.

                  Jim:

There's a guy here that's painted a BUNCH of bikes for me, and he does a LOT of the checkered flag stuff...........name is Richie. Goes by Young Guns. Richie Young. Winston-Salem. Has done a TON of stuff regionally for drag racers..............

I've owned over 70 Katanas - you think I know anything about them?
Is there such a thing as TOO MANY BIKES?
Can you go TOO FAST on a bike?

Oh, I'll be doing my own painting. I just found this bike a few years ago when I had my '94 and thought it was a super nice ride. The bike is pure stock but painted and chromed out. I have been looking for the pic again on and off over the years and just came across it a couple of days ago and thought I'd share it with everyone.
Do you remember my post a while back at that other place about the 88 kat 600 on ebay that I was sure was a rare Yosh, race replica? I finally found the pic of that Yosh Kat too with the fairing insets. That bike sold for $400 and I bet the buyer had no idea of how rare it is. I would kill to find a set of fairings with the insets!

This is the full race bike...check out that swingarm and the raised rearsets! Also this may be the first Kat to ever sport the GSXR fork mod.
