  • pre-98 mesh mod

I just finished my mesh mod on my pre-98. I have bolt on the other side but i have pictures of left side so far.

here is the picture of the huge hole on the side

This is where I meshed the signal outlet

    This is the "Gills"

Let me know what you think.

Looks great, good work Mike. What did you end up using to keep it in place?

I ended up using Liquid weld found in the paint section of walmart. Next to the super glue. We will see how it holds up.

does the mesh rub agains the frame? I am having a hard time fitting the mesh in the large opening on the upper fairings. I am using a heavier grade mesh that may not be as flexible.

I also wondered about the black paint. I will have to try it out some time. But since I just put it together i am going to leave it the way it is for now.

I do beleive that it rubs on the frame. If it starts to cause a problem I will just put some glue down on the frame to protect the frame.

I really like it in the grill areas up front. And why paint it black when yu can go an opposing color like red or sumfin????

Looks great, I just think it would drive me crazy. Sometimes on rare occasions I might make tiny adjustments on things such as my idle, I can't imagine how you'd do that.
