  • Another spring day at the Gap (different angle)

Shot some more raw footage with the GoPro. The plan is to shoot many angles and make something out of it later on.

I think this angle is pretty neat. You can really see how soft the Kat suspension is.

With the winter being unusually cold for this area and the fact that I got a mud puppy Jeep, the B12 swap got put on the back burner. I went to work on it one day when it was 65 degrees and sunny with near zero humidity.

I looked to the heavens and said, "Eff it." I buttoned it back up as the 600 and went riding. I can make it another season as a 600 and do the swap this coming winter.

Video looks great. I have been been getting more audio noise (bad) than you do. I don't know if it is the real bumpy roads here in Michigan or what. Your audio sounds much cleaner than mine in the video.

I think in this particular shot it's the mounting location. I suction cupped it to the fairing down low in a relatively flexy part of the fairing. I get a pretty bad resonance at around 6000 that was much less pronounced in this shot.

I am not certain which frequency it is, but the audio on these things doesn't like it. It's still much better than any other of my cameras mounted to my Techmount. I am yet to reproduce the shop owner's audio which was what I was so impressed with when I first saw video from the GoPro. He rides an SV, however which would supply much lower resonance. His sounded like you were right there on the bike with him.

Good excuse to get a Tiller or Super Hawk.
