  • My Latest Work

I just quickly wanted to show some of the projects I have been working on:

I purchased some of those eBay mirrors but didn't like the view or how they mounted. Not to mention the big hole in the fairing that is left.

    Closer view of the fairing

    Another angle

Now my custom frame slider. The section in the centered comes out. I plan on getting it laser engraved with either "750" or "Suzuki". The engraving will look similar to the Craftsmen sockets

I am also going to change from black wheels to a painted spoke/polished lip combo

And although I already posted these, I'll do it again because I like 'em

If you made it this far, thanks for looking.

The mirror extension looks a little weird now, but after everything else is finished and shiny it will fit in. Not to mention it then won't be the focal point of the picture. In addition to making the mirror stick out further, I also increased the angle so it sits back close to the bike (as compared to the hardware that came with it).

The diameter of the sliders looks HUGE,
Are you planning on using them as highway pegs?

They only have a 2" O.D. I think the regular ones are 1.75". I always thought the 1.75" looks too thin for such a big "well rounded" bike.

But yes, maybe I will use them as pegs

                    ____

I am leaning towards painting the little black ABS piece at the base of the mirror to match the color of the bike.

One piece of advice for removing the paint from the wheels: Stripper takes the paint off of the smooth part of the lip very easily. In a little further where the lip has texture, pain in the arse. So be careful and be sure that you want to expose more of the lip before getting into that textured area.
