Ride through Algonquin Park

Me and a buddy went for a spin the other day. We did about 600km round trip from Barrie out to Bancroft back through Algonquin park. Some nice roads. We did 507 (you can see this one on the Ontario bike roads map) and it was great. Cop station right in the middle though. And we also did Elephant Lake rd. That was really nice. about 30km of twisites. Almost had a head on collision with a golf cart that was on the wrong side of the road but that's another story. We came back through Dorset and checked out the Dorset lookout tower. Great day. Saw 3 moose in the Park. By the time we stopped and got the cameras out 2 had left. Great day though.

hehe...you can tell who is canadian and who isn't. midget refers to it as an animal....char calls it a deer......where any canadian over 7 would say, "hey...look at the moose".
yes folks...that is a calf...which is a first year moose. it could be in it's 2nd year...but looks about like a 1st year to me. baby or not, you don't want to hit it.

I'm going to be doing that trip this weekend. Have thanksgiving dinner at my grandparents in magnetawan. Figured i might as well take the Kat and find the long way up there. Should be a great trip, weather looks good, and I'll see If i can pry the camera out of my Dads hands (he loves it more than familly )
