  • A Tale of eBay, Replacement Parts, and Too Many Pictures

In the course of repairing other people’s mistakes, one must spend some money. Fortunately eBay is making this a little less painful

So here’s the run down of my weekend of installing an undertail, hugger, Zero Gravity windscreen, new left and right tail sections, and a bunch of little screws.

So without further adieu, here’s the pics:

Got the bike in the garage and got some AC blowin in

After taking lots of pics …

Poorly done signal mounts and wheelie damage

    Like my plate light

    Parts are comin off

    Stripped out bit of plastic

    Down to the frame

Figured I’d go ahead and change out some other pieces, got a new Zero Gravity windscreen so more parts come off

    Test fitting the new undertail

    Undertail and hugger mounted

    Now, before/after wash pics

Even got a new license mount with the undertail!

So, hope you enjoyed the pics, if you are truly bored there’s more at http://gallery.restel.com/album196

There’s also a vid clip of it runnin, for some reason when it the bike gets wet it starts running rough and kinda sounds like it’s backfiring at about 4k, gotta figure that out sometime.

Where did you get your undertail and huger from? Looks good!

And maybe you have a vaccum leak on your air box where it connects to the carbs or something (For the sputtering part)

Looks good. Better than before. I think I am going to buy a hugger and mod it to fit my bike.
