winter project..............Done! (big pix beware)

thank God my winter project is finally done! well, kinda all thats left to do is Wax. got to wait atleast a month for the paint to completely dry before waxing it. had to put off the chrome job till next season, so for now, this is how she looks! not bad for a "rattlecan" job eh? dont mind the off-colored hugger, it will be painted to match the bike next week. quick list of what i did:

1. painted all the plastics (front and rear fender, cowl, main and lower fairings)
2. painted the swingarm (chrome next season)
3. painted rotors and calipers (front and rear)
4. re-inforced and welded the frame where the slider bolts
5. polished lips on both rims, rear brake pedal and shifter
6. fabricated both the side mirrors with signals (i will post pix and a how to in a couple of days)

so here she is and let me know what you all think!

Thanks fellas! believe it or not, sliders are actually bike(bicycle) pegs. got it at a local bike store for $15(way cheaper than paying $50+). they do the job well(had a tip over last year) so i got another set to use. its by Haro and i had to cut them down coz they were longer(about 1 1/2" - 2" was cut). let me know if you need more info.

Hugger was made to fit a 99 sv650. you'll need to cut out about 2 1/2" on the left backside of the hugger (when you are behind the bike, near the rearsets) to make clearance for the chain. mine was rubbing off the chain. i'll post a "how to" on it in a couple of days if anybody else is interested, if not pm me in a couple of days and i'll get it to you.
