    Geared her up...

    A while back I posted a thread asking for tips on good gear for my fiance. Here's what I wound up doing.

    Speed and Strength "Cross my Heart" jacket. New, Ebay- $65 shipped
    (black/pink) ce armor in shoulers & elbows, spine padding

    KBC Tarmac Max helmet- closeout, Laflamme motorsports- $60 shipped
    (black/pink/silver) DOT & Snell cert.

    Teknic "Supervents" gloves- closeout, Iron Pony motorsports- $17 shipped
    (black/pink) foam upper with folded cowhide palms

    Marine Corps issue ICB boots- free from Scouts fiance.
    (black) Not motahbike specific, but WAY enough protection

    So she's geared up right for about 140 bucks. I'm happy.

    Good on ya. 2-up partners need protection too. I see way too many guys suited up only to have their ladies wear shorts and a t-shirt while they ride on the back.

      It's all about the fit, especially the jacket and helmet.

        We were super careful. Tried all of it on in stores and then ordered online. The gloves were the exception. The price was so good that we just guessed- Iron Pony doesn't charge for returns and shipping was free b/c they came with my tires. Worked out. The helmet was easy- and she likes the jacket b/c it has "corset" style buckles on the side to make it more/less snug depending on what she'll be wearing underneath.

          Cool. If you ride at all this weekend let me know. I know Sam generally feels more comfortable riding with other people around. The weather looks good so it would just be a matter of schedules aligning.

            Work fri, sat and sun nights...so it doesn't look good. Unless maybe I can switch for sun morning and we can arrange an Emilysitter. >=o)

                    I love SC. Lived down there for ~6 years. Most of it was spent on Parris Island.

                      I was fortunate enough to visit Parris Island a couple times when I was in high school - Marine Corps JROTC. Now it's Clemson for (hopefully) only 1 more year.
