Damn jeccami , that's a perfect example for the full face vs shortie lid debate.

BTW how do the scorpions run sizewise compared to the HJC? No one up here sells them yet .

      Read this thread:
      http://www.katriders.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8706

      Original article: http://motorcyclistonline.com/gearbox/hatz/

The best helmet Motorcyclist magazine tested was a $80 Z1R ZRP-1. For that price, everyone should have a great lid...

Personally, I love my Nolan N100E's, but that's mostly because I really like flip-up full-face helmets (smoker's helmets, or long-rider's helmets, as it were). But if I consider another full-face without a flip-up, it'll be the Z1R ZRP-1.

      Cheers

I have the CL-14 Fuse. It's a pretty decent helmet but it seems the more vents the more noise.

Wow - My brother's scorpion EXO looks very similar to that after he low-sided his CBR600 at MAM (during a CCS race) back the 1st weekend in July!

Yeah, by the time it was over he was smiling... they even had the EMTs check his head "just-in-case" (no worse than he was before the crash). He compained more about a sore ankle from hopping of the trailer earlier that day than he did any pain from the crash. He managed to get up, wave the passing group out from the apex of the corner (where his bike was sitting), pick the bike up & roll it back across the track to the corner station. Shortly thereafter he was actually able to ride it back to our pit area. As they say (especially at the track) - it's not if you crash, but when you crash!

All said & done he needed a new footpeg, & frameslider - as well as some minor cosmetic repair to the bodywork. I'd say no more than $300 total in damage (including a new Scorpion helmet, although he's got another spare already).

I still am amazed how racers get right up after a good spill. the gear is definitely proven on the track. I like the scorpion, agv and I also have a cl-14 prime and like it too. For the most part it is about how it fits you. everyone have different shaped heads and some helmets fit different ways. what ever will work for you. The Canadians will tell you to get a shark LOL
