  • Rainy day, Laguna Seca

it was a very cold and wet day. This was one of the last sessions of the day when it started to dry out (it was still cold!). camera ran out of batteries before i got a chance to record a)me sliding off the track but saving it on turn 11 and b)my throttle jamming open and almost flying off the track at the top of the cork screw. Exciting stuff

Nice...I wish video could show the elevation changes on that track, it sure looks like fun! That is inspiration for me to get back to work on the zzr and be ready for a trackday once the snow is gone. When you say "cold", what kind of temperatures are you talking this time of year? Man I can't wait to get back on the bike and "twist-it"!

Burr, thats cold on a bike. Do you have rain tires? Looks like there is quite a bit of rubber down in some of the corners, was it super slick?

no rain tires, can't justify spending $400 on a set of tires i might use once a year!.....people in the race group had rain tires or slicks they cut up themselves. One thing I gotta say Dunlop Qualifiers Q2's are not a good rain tire! the side of the tires doesn't have much grooving, turns 2, 3, 5 and the corkscrew were very tricky when it was pouring down.
