I have a 95 katana 750. there is a 3 prong diode that is getting hot and smoking with the key on. it seems to be for the lights. any info on this would be spectacular.

You shouldn't like your wiring harness smoke, it's bad for it's health.
But seriously, if you have wires smoking, time to pull things apart and figure out why!-Steve

So if i'm looking at this right and i'd like to think that I am,#35 sidestand diode
is what he's talking about. green wire goes to 33 side stand switch,
black to # 25 neutral switch, black & blue to #4 neutral warning light.Last edited by loneraider; 07-15-2016, 08:56 AM.

Try disconnecting one of the other wires - leave the blue one connected. The problem might stop with one of the wires disconnected - then we can trace it to the problem area.2005 Katana 750
