Splicing rear light 99 to an 03 katana
I have a 99 katana, had an accident last year and now I'm fixing it little by little.
I got an 03 rear tail, I have an 03 rear light. Everything is put together except the bulbs/ harness because the 99 only has three wires and my 03 harness has four wires.
The 03 harness has two white wires with a black stripe, one black wire with a white stripe and brownish wire.....
The 99 harness has one white wire with a black stripe, one black wire with a white stripe and a plain grey wire.
The 03 harness clip doesn't fit on my 99 bike so I'm trying to figure out how or if I can cut the harness wires of the 03 and solder them to my 99 harness that has the right clip to connect to the bike for power.
