  • No Rpm or Speedo?

Had my bike 2002 gsx750f for about a month now and had no problems. I let the bike sit for a week, and go to start it. It gives me trouble starting and the battery dies. So I rolled down my driveway in 1st gear and dropped the clutch, the bike started up. Once started I began to let it warm up. I looked down at my rpm gauge and its stuck at ''0''. What can be the cause of this? I was thinking there's not enough power from the battery to run everything. I also checked the fuse box all fuses are good? I have pretty good mechanical knowledge. Motorcycles are still new to me.

The tach and speedo are driven electronically from different sensors. You probably have a loose connection, or rubbed through wire somewhere.

I had a similar problem. For me it was the speed censor connector that was loose

Good news.. charged the battery at a slow rate, then i went to start the bike started right up and all gauges function. it was just power hungry.
