  • No Spark

I posted last year after I bought a 2000 Katana 600. I had test rode the bike and then trailered it 45 mins home. Right off the trailer i was having trouble starting it. I would get spark intermittently and finally not at all. I bought parts off of ebay and swapped them out. I tried changing CDI box, primary coil, pick up coil, throttle position sensor, and the last thing I tried was replacing the ignition switch. That is what it ended up being. A simple $45 aftermarket part fixed a problem that had plagued me all winter, but at least its running and on the road now. Just thought I'd let everyone know that it was something so simple.

Yeah that ignition switch is a weak spot it seems.
We have had lots of odd problems from no spark to no headlights being caused by the ignition.
