  • quick question

I have a '94 kat and '99 SV650. The SV has a bad rectifier, is there any way to use the Kat's rectifier until the new one comes in the mail?

The rectifier in the Katana is built into the alt . Not sure how the SV's works .... But if the wiring connection's the same , I consider it .

the sv is a stand alone unit, like many that have it in the tail section

I didn't know if the kat had a unit near the alt or if it was actually part of it (not able to separate them)

Kat's are built into the alternator just like a car
