I am installing a set of HIDs, I got the heavy duty harness from SUVlights.com and while looking over the harness I have a question about the harness on the bike. I noticed that that there is only one input (blue) with three prongs that is to get connected to the bike wiring harness but am I going to have to cut any wires out of the old harness (the one on the bike) to ba able to hook it up to the new one. or is it plug and play. I looked at the wiring diagram for the bike and it looks like on the lights, headlights, turn signals, and parking light are all connected to the main wiring harness through one harness. OHHH please help ne out here.

If you can wait till I get the bike back from the shop I can look and even take pics for you. I honestly do not remember off the top of my head all of the specifics but I remember it being just plug and play. Only thing I did was shorten the one wire length. I wont have my Kat back till Sat at the earliest.
Cyber or Yellow_Kitty_Kat might remember or have some pics though....I am a Penn State fanatic.
Why is the sky blue and white? God is a PSU fan...

The blue plug with the male prongs plugs into the female side of what was the Suzuki-OEM socket that used to go the headlight bulb. It's used as the sense plug to trip the relays, feeding the sense of both power-on and whether to run the high-beam or low-beam.
Hope that helps

I mounted mine directly over the front of the headlight casing, under the fairings. It's a good location in terms of reasonably easy access, no water intrusion. Not necessarily the best place for cooling though (I didn't have any issues, but I can't say your particular kit won't).

Mine got fairly warm, but not anywhere near hot enough to melt my fairings or cause any issues with the paint.
