  • Mystery Wires???

I just bought my first bike and there are some wires that I have no idea where they go.

Wire 1. a yellow wire under the gas tank that I believe is for the tach, but I dont see a place for it to hook up to?

Wire 2. This is actually two wires that come from the clutch lever on the handle bar. they are both yellow with a green stripe.

    Any body have any ideas!

Could be for the gas gauge. Someone else will post that one. Does it have a plug or is it cut?

That one's probably for the clutch saftey switch.

Yellow w/green stripe is the clutch safety.

          To the clutch safety switch.

Seriously though, the switch is on the underside of the clutch lever. You should see two prongs sticking out, make that downwards.

I think I found the same wire as #1 on my bike, right under the front of the gas tank? I think we established that it was for Cali stuff, as my bike worked fine, the yellow wire just stops and doesn't go anywhere.

The wires are plugged into the clutch lever. I need to know where they go from there? It appears that they could possibly loop together, but that doesnt make much sense to me.

should be matching wires under tank. Are you sure the yellow mystery wire isnt green striped too. Should be another one to match

will the skoot start without the clutch being pulled in? if so the safety has been bypassed
