Chinese ebay ignition switches

So after two years, I get my bike back after being stolen. I need a new ignition switch and gas door. Has anyone been able to rewire the cheap $35 ebay special packages to work? I'm assuming I just need to cut the plug off and switch the wires around, but not sure.
What do you think?

Did you get it figured out? I just put a new ignition n key in my 03 or 04 katana. It turns over but wont run. I have a 100 ohm .5 watt resistor coming in the mail. Hopefully its the right size resistor and I cant solder it in between the correct 2 wires so it runs. Its not getting spark.
