Ok, so my haynes manual says to replace the washer on the top bolt of the signal generator cover along with the gasket after removal, given the gasket came off in bits that was a no brainer and have the new one ready to go once I've rechecked the valve clearances. Anyway, when I looked for the OEM part for my bike it shows a rubber washer shaped mini gasket not a metal washer that I have.
I search through some old posts on KR and there seem to have been people with either, can anyone tell me what 'should' be there for my 600 K2 (2002).
Also curious to why it's needed there in the first place and not on any other bolts?
