  • Is my tank rusty enough that it'll cause problems?

    Hi,

Now that my carbs are clean and bench synced (tested it with gas in a small bottle), I was wondering if the small amounts of rust in the tank will refoul the carbs or if it is a negligible amount.

There is a thin intermittent strip that runs along a ridge and a spot of rust around the breather tube.

I looked around with a flashlight where the camera couldn't see and I did not see any other spots of rust, not to say there aren't any.

If it's light rust, just use some vinegar to soak, then flush the tank with water/baking soda.

The electrolysis is really over kill for small spots.
