    Question in title. Read through the swap page but seen nothing mentioned.

    So you read an article about swapping a pre 98 engine into a 98+ frame and didn't see that mentioned. I don't see this ending well. The answer is yes.

      Buuuut, you will not have a speedo, as the post has the speed sensor on the drive sprocket, pre is off the front wheel. You'll have to adapt over the post speed sensor.
