carb drilling?

  • carb drilling?




    Im cleaning my carb and i cant seem to find the exact same one for whatever reason. The 2 brass fittings one with hole one without. Are those to be drilled out?

    What year bike do you have? Prior to 98 use "carbs 101" after 97 use "carbs 102" the procedure is outlined in them.

      Just be VERY VERY careful drilling. Once you go through its VERY easy to drill the A/F needle slot out.

        Drill out this one:


        The A/F screw is under that. I don't know what's under the other one, but drilling that will result in you buying another set of carbs, 100%.

          Remember I drilled that one out be accident and had to get a plug made from my buddy.
          If I didnt have the connection to make the plug then I would be SOL.

              I'll bet there are a lot of JB welded plugs out there....

                  @arsenic the one not circled leave alone? Afterwords do you try to put the plug back on or leave off?

                    Yes, leave it alone. You just leave it off.

                      Correct, drill the circled one out **Very gently** and leave the other one alone. You dont replace the plug when your done also.
