  • Petcock leak

Should this be replaced? It was leaking off the bike, I vacuum tested the fuel line and it didn't leak. I vacuum tested the other port and no leak. Not sure what I'm doing but shouldn't the gas line lose vacuum? How is the gas going to move without some vacuum loss?

I have not put gas back in it since it tested it if that means anything.

Once you clean, rebuild and assemble the petcock, the only vacuum you need to use is the small nipple on the back of the petcock. Prime setting ( arrow pointing to the rear) will not require a vacuum source. Reserve (arrow pointing to the front) and run (arrow pointing down) will require a vacuum source.
