Here is what I use the most:

set of T handle Metric Allens
    set of Metric sockets
    set of Metric combination wrenches
Torque wrench (Cyber says bar type, I like clicker)
Suzuki oil filter wrench (for removal)
    set of Metric allen sockets
    18mm spark plug socket
    set of screwdrivers
    Bel-ray chain Lube
    WD-40
    Scott Shop towels
    my Clymer repair manual
set of feeler gauges (for valve adjustments)
    parts from Special K

Other than an oil drain pan I can't think of anything else I have used yet.

EDIT: All of my tools unless otherwise noted are Craftsman.

That I don't know. Mine is a '96 750. Try Haynes. They are as good, some like them better. You can also get in addition to or instead of, a Suzuki repair manual. They are all up on Ebay pretty regularly. I actually bought mine at the dealer when I was getting an OEM oil filter and a filter wrench.

Haynes makes a book called Motorcycle Workshop Practice Techbook. It tells you all about setting up a shop, tools you will need, and how to do things properly. It's a must have if you're gonna set up a descent work space

Don't forget the wheel stands. I wish I had them everytime I go to work on mine. I am waiting till I have a garage to work in again, and I will DEFINATELY have a pair as soon as I move.

              Need a shop man?

Corey and I are for Hire. We work for Beer and Mexican food. And we goof around a lot, so expect it to take a long time....

I can't recommend specific tools, but I will tell you to buy decent quality tools. You do not need to spend big bucks on SnapOn or Mac, but the super cheap $10 800 piece wrench socket sets are usually not worth the money. Craftsman make a good tool for home use at a reasonable price.

The reason my xbox is Katana600 is because som eof you may remember I used to have a Kat 600 that was totaled out in june by a guy who ran a red light.

look in the tool pouch - that is what you need
                              spark plug socket
                              17mm to 22mm socket set
                              4,5,6 mm allens
                              10 & 12mm combo wrenchs and sockets
                              good set of screwdrivers
                              cotter keys
                              pliers
                              good torque wrench

suzuki valve adust tool ( it's like a 1/8 inch square drive )
